The Butterfly Kingdom

The Butterfly Kingdom is a lush and beautiful 5,500 square foot exhibit with many species of South and Central American butterflies. There has been a tremendous response since the exhibit opened in 2005 and is a must see on every zoo goers visit.
These beautiful butterflies fly freely but they are so delicate and fragile that we ask you not to touch them. Check out our display to see the emergence of new butterfly from the chrysalis.

In addition, you will find other birds and small mammals here in culturally informative exhibits including a sparkling waterfall.
